Lynam And Mellerick Look To Get The Glen Back On Trackby Cork Sports News September 20, 2019
Glen Celtic are steadily moving up through the leagues and are one step away from the top flight and being a major force again
Cork Sports News recently caught up with joint manager, Mick Lynam as the Glen travel to take on Pearse Celtic tomorrow in the Mossie Linnane quarter-final.
“We are really looking forward to this game, we will be missing one or two players due to holidays and injury but the big plus is the return of John Corcoran for his first game of the season after a lengthy ban and he is chomping at the bit now.
“We respect Pearse Celtic but know on our day we can beat anyone, it will be a good game.
“Our season is going well, we have a huge panel to pick from and have added a few quality players.
“Getting to the quarter-final was our objective and we’ve done that.
“To win promotion is our number one priority but the Mossie Linnane Cup and AOH Cup are also trophies we expect to challenge for from my own point of view.
“It’s my second year with the club having come on board last year with Derek Mellerick, who is joint manager with me this year.
“We’ve know each other almost 40 years and hope to bring more success to Glen Celtic this year,” concluded Mick.
